This is an experiment on the study for raw materials. I focused on the possiblilties of bringing new shapes and seeing the other side and shifting the original role of the materials.

EPS(Styrofoam)is something very easy to spot every now and then. I sculped a mass of styrofoam into a sofa and because of its characterstic, the longer you sit on it, the warmer it gets.

Beautiful scnery of farming village in Korea

The remains after the harvesting season in farms are large bundles of rice straw. It used to be my favorite playground. These rice straw are something very familiar to Koreans although you don't reside in farms.

I made a bundle and wrapped them with belts that are normally used to stabolize boxes or furniture etc (ex ; when moving out), cut the top off into a stool. I call this 'zip' because rice straws are called zip in Korean which also sounds like the English word 'zip' and the rice straws are literally zipped(compressed) into a bundle.
